  • You must be a South African citizen over the age of 18
  • Your business must be 51% or more black-owned
  • You must be active in your business full time
  • You must have a cellphone, a computer and an email address
  • You must be responsible for your own transport
  • Your business must have been trading for at least six months
  • Your average monthly turnover must be R15 000, R20 000 or R100 000

Eligibility

The Young Entrepreneur Award: Nominees must be young female entrepreneurs and start-ups between 18 and 35 years old who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and skills to build and grow successful and sustainable enterprises. Young entrepreneurs must exemplify leadership in their field and the importance of entrepreneurship to effect positive change. They are inspirational and must have achieved tangible and material success (revenue and number of employees can indicate this).
