OneBio

OneBio is a Cape Town-based biotech early-stage investor and venture builder, turning life sciences into business. It is our mission to build businesses that are original and world changing. We partner with biotech entrepreneurs, providing investment capital and know-how to venture-build companies of the future.

We ideate with them, helping them define and redefine the problem they are solving. We support them along the journey, venture-building alongside them. We get our ‘hands dirty’, and provide expertise, networks, and grant and equity funding; helping them to realise their dreams.

Among other things, OneBio offers selected African edtech ventures financial support, coaching, mentorship, strategy support, market research support, upskilling opportunities, and capacity building. 

We offer selected African edtech ventures:

• Financial support in the form of grant funding or investment;
• Sponsored consultations with industry experts and subject matter specialists on topics ranging from curriculum design to marketing to financial management to impact M&E and much more;
• Mentorship from the Injini team and experienced business leaders (Injini is a non-profit organisation that supports the development of EdTech in Cape Town).
• Strategy support from the Injini team and through external facilitators when required;
• The Injini Think Tank will conduct market research projects to enable evidence-driven decision making;
• Injini will introduce founders to prospective funders, partners, clients, and other stakeholders;
• Injini will sponsor founders’ skills development by providing bursaries for accredited short courses, when appropriate;
• Capacity building through sponsored or subsidised access to operational resources (e.g. graphic design, marketing, PR, administration, and software development, accounting, HR, etc.);
• Possibility to be assigned dedicated interns or receive freelance support from seasoned professionals, and more!
