Overview of Business

Grabouw Based operation.   We use the dual thrust of Hydro Power and Industrial Hemp to bring Economic opportunity to the greater population of the Grabouw Valley

With the Plentiful river structure and a large number of dams, we are working with the Large Scale Apple Farmers and Fruit juice producers to identify and develop a local electricity grid, the benefits of this are twofold: Dependable low-cost electricity and significant improvement in Grabouw Carbon Footprint.

Industrial hemp has multiple benefits. Firstly drawdown,  with a drawdown rate of approximately 20 tons of toxic gas per hectare, the 50 hectares allocated by SAPHRA will allow each Industrial hemp licence holder to pull 1000 tons of toxic gas out of the atmosphere. Once industrial hemp is further processed into hemp blocks, the hemp blocks sequester 8kg of Toxic gas per square meter of construction. This is an added benefit to the carbon footprint

Industrial hemp is a job creator. On the low end, 3 labourers per hectare are required to take the hemp crop from plant to retted maturity. So that gives full-time work to 150 labourers per 50 hectare Hemp Licence holder.
