Nano-fibre net Water purification Point-of-use Disinfection Low-cost
Overview:

Even though water quality in South Africa has historically been of a high standard the Department of Water and Sanitation’s infrastructure has deteriorated and become increasingly overextended. This nano-fibre based technology offers a solution in the form of a point-of-use water treatment system. It contains innocuous molecules which are integrated into a nano-fibre support ‘net’ that can filter water, decontaminating it by removing harmful bacteria and trapping other impurities. It can be implemented at any water access point and thus is an ideal solution in rural or remote settings."
