Overview of Organisation

The Namibia Business Innovation Institute (NBII) formerly known as Namibia Business Innovation Centre (NBIC) is a national leader in research, entrepreneurship and innovation. NBII develops ways of taking your insight from idea to the marketplace by helping you to navigate the innovation process.

NBII operates through the four pillars of: Innovation Marketplace (I’M), Entrepreneurship and Incubation (E&I), Research and Development (R&D), and the RLabs Namibia project.

The NBII proactively stimulates and supports innovation, entrepreneurship and social upliftment through exploring, researching and developing ideas, bridging the technological divide, and generating and incubating sustainable businesses for a globally competitive economy and inclusive society.

The Namibia Business Innovation Institute offers the following services:

  • Innovation Marketplace (I’M) features mostly public events that stimulate idea creation and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Entrepreneurship & Incubation (E&I) supports young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to kick-start their business through training and mentoring.
